When the 4-NP reduction catalyst was performed and UV-Vis measurements of 4-nitrophenol and 4-nitrophenolate (4-NP + NaBH4) were performed, measurements were performed. UV-Vis spectra at high concentrations (about 2.5 mM) do not show the peak of these substances anymore. How can I remedy this when I want to do it at such high concentrations?
The question is not well formulated. Just guessing. Dilute your sample solution in 0.1 M phosphate buffer with pH 12.

I mean, when performing 4-NP reduction catalytic reaction with AgNPs. At low concentrations of 4-NP, the UV-Vis spectrum is very clear (showing the absorption peak of 4-NP), but when increasing the concentration of 4-NP to investigate the reduction catalytic capacity of AgNPs, UV-Vis spectrum no longer clearly shows the peak of 4-NP. Therefore, it makes it difficult to analyze data. I want to ask, is there a way to measure the UV-Vis spectrum of 4-NP at a high concentration without its spectrum interference?

I also observed a similar problem at higher concentrations, as you mentioned. I would think it depends on concentration. So, I would suggest trying with lower concentrations. Also, Dr. Geletii’s idea should work.
