Hi,

There is a recommender system which calculates a composite value for movies based on attributes: running time, production cost and year. Then it ranks movies comparing (say, nearest) these values with the composite value calculated for user's needs regarding the same three attributes. Does this system belongs to Utility-based recommender systems category or Knowledge-based category?
