Using SOD assay kit 19160 (Sigma-Aldrich) on muscle and brain homogenates?

Dear colleagues,

is anyone using SOD assay kit 19160 from Sigma-Aldrich on homogenates (my intention is to measure activity in muscle and brain)?

Do you have a validated method how to proceed? Datasheet provided with the kit is not very clear.
