Hello everyone,
I work in a pathology laboratory and I need to highlight small samples, such as endoscopic biopsies and core biopsies, with a dye to facilitate embedding and sectioning. I read online that neutral buffered formalin supplemented with eosin is used for this purpose. Does anyone have experience with this type of solution?
If I wanted to prepare formalin supplemented with eosin myself, how much eosin should I add relative to the formalin? Has anyone used other dyes to highlight tissues?
Can eosin cause autofluorescence issues that might interfere with the use of the FISH technique on the stained tissue?
Thank you in advance to anyone who responds!
