can anyone enumerate the urban forestry issues in their cities or towns
Major issues in Indian cities are
1. Lack of plantation space in dense areas of the city.
2. Protection of plantlets from herbivory and other anthropogenic disturbances.
3. Lack of public participation in plantation programme and protection of young plantlets.
4. Poor maintenance of green space in lack of funds and interest of local authorities.
5. Poor air quality and urban heat island effect influencing proper growth and development of urban vegetation.
6. Higher urbanization has led to the degradation of existing flora.
Although plenty of information is available in India in urban forestry but lack of implementation programme and trials in cities are lacking.

Urban forest problems in Indonesia, including:
1) Urban land function experts who are more concerned with economic functions than the environment,
2) The growth of urban population due to increased birth and urbanization has caused little space for urban forests,
3) Extreme weather causes urban forests burning in the dry season,
4) Low awareness of the importance about urban forests.
