Unexpected indentations while performing satellitism of Haemophilus

While performing satellitism test for Haemophilus influenzae, growth of MSSA was noted to be non-uniform and indented particularly where the Haemophilus growth is abundant. What could be the reason? Anyone has seen such phenomenon?
