I have seen a mail about UGC listed journals. When I have gone through Issue 2 , Volume 1 - Journal listed as UGC recommended journal list. I was surprised to see within one or 2 issues - it got it in list. I would like to know - who is authority of this - what basis or criteria they are choosing in list. Some experts in the field can clarify this .

That's true that now a days any tom dick and harry publishing journals and claiming that their journal is approved by UGC. To check these fake journal better go through following link of UGC.
