Dear Community,
I am currently dealing with pre-tensioned cable elements in UDEC and i was unsure about how to correctly implement the pre-tension into the cable elements when the selected spacing is different than 1 m. From the manual it is clear, that 5 different cable properties are scaled based on the specified spacing (in my case 4 m), e.g. E-Modulus, tensile yield strenght, compressive yield strength, stiffness of the grout, cohesive strength of the grout. However, i could not find any information on the pre-tension value.
Is it necessary to specify the pre-tension along the free length as the value to which one anchor is pre-stressed, or does it have to be devided by the corresponding spacing?
I assume that the full pre-stressing force has to be defined, as also the resulting axial forces should already be internally scaled in order to display the force as present in the actual anchor element. Can you agree on my thougths?
Thank you for your help,
Best Regards
