Hello!

We produce allogeneic serum eye drops from (SED) whole blood donation and test them for HIV-1/2, HCV, HBV, HEV, Parvovirus B19, Syphilis, CMV and HSV. We look for antibodies and for the virus itself through PCR. For Syphilis (Lues) we only look for antibodies.

Does any of you test SED for Herpes Simplex Virus? And is there any case in the literature about HSV transmission by using allogeneic SED?

I didn't find anythig in the literature, but not everything is published...as we all know.

I would be very happy to hear from you soon.

Thank you in advance.
