Several organic on farm resources are available for recycling in cropping systems being practiced on farm like green manure crops on field bunds, weeds and crop residues available on farm for composting, animal dung and urine along with bedding material/refuge,biocultures/biofertilizers(screened from local fields)etc. The plant roots  and soil microbes mobilize nutrients from soil. How far these diverse organic resources meet the nutrient requirement of crops in crop rotations? To what extent they can reduce the needs of external inputs of fertilizers?
