The Twin Prime Conjecture is a longstanding unsolved problem in number theory. Proposed by Alphonse de Polignac in 1846, it suggests that there are infinitely many pairs of prime numbers that have a difference of 2. In other words, it posits that there are infinitely many "twin primes" such as (3, 5), (11, 13), (17, 19), and so on.
