I am planning to do research on social entrepreneurship and social innovation intent among youth, especially technical students. In this context is there any standard model that can be tested where the sampling units are UG and PG students studying in Indian universities. Also, I request someone to give a standard reference material in this regard for review of literature and research methods and methodology.

I am unsure of specific reference material.. but in my experience as someone that wants to make fundamental social change and hasn't been asked about it in an academic setting, really just working with educational institutions for a brief survey among all students. Yeah probably pretty difficult to do, but certainly not impossible. I would say for sure that if someone had interest or intentions to be a social innovator, they would simply need to be probed about it. Depending upon individual responses to surveys, you could request permission from educational institutions to follow up with students who listed the email, if you are interested in a further interview of course. Could use a simple survey method to gauge people's interest in social innovation in general, and then move to more specific throughout the survey.
