According to me, It may not be accurate but it can be an indicative tool for public policy and public expenditure, psychological aspects, sociological changes and ethical corporate responsibilities. On these lines, it need not be doubted as unethical. It can be a cross-sectional learnings for which times series data not necessarily a prerequisite.
In my view, it is critical to stay committed to the fundamental ethical standard, guidelines and values across the research activity. Most importantly, the key is a responsible conduct of the researcher.
