I was wondering what other researchers would do if they were in my position?
Briefly, I am researching the acquisition of English articles (a/an, the) among L2 learners, and I asked two L2 English speaking raters (who are experienced in researching the English article system) to rate my codes of article semantics. Both raters independently rated my analysis and there were a few inter-rater disagreements of some of my codings. Would you suggest I add an L1 English speaking rater to rate some of the tricky contexts?
