Thixotropy and rheopecticity these are the two important properties for polymer melt.

Both properties can be studied by using Brookfield rheometer. In this instrument we can study te effect of shear rate on the viscosity

1) Thixotropy:If w.r.t shear rate increase viscosity decreases then it is thixotropy

2) Rheopectic : in this case viscosity increases

Is it possible to apply these concepts for drug delivery?How?
