Hi everyone,

my colleagues and I are currently developing a deep penetration laser beam welding model. Since in such a model the vapor phase is included, we need/want to consider very high temperatures, e.g. up to 6000 K for the vapor plume. In most of the related publications, the same temperature range is studied, but no data of the thermophysical properties are provided. We are in particullar interested in the thermal conductivity of metal vapors at high temperatures since we use it to calculate the heating effect of the vapor plume on the top free surface (keyhole & molten pool). Unfortunately, until now we couldn't find much useful data. So, if anyone can provide some sufficient data, we will be grateful!

Best regards,

Antoni Artinov
