Maybe I can help you. My PhD thesis was about paleontology and biostratigraphy of Barremian to Cenomanian carbonates in the Persian Gulf.

I worked on orbitolinids for the geological period (Barremian-Turonian) of Iraq including the following formations or their equivalents ( Zubair, Shuaiba, Nahr Umr, Mauddud, Ahmedi, and Mishrif).

According to Schroeder (1975, onward), the modern classification of this family depends mainly on the megalospheric embryonic apparatus (A-form generation) rather than the microspheric embryonic apparatus (B-form generation). The embryonic apparatus of A-form generation consists of three parts

- Protoconch

- Deuteroconch zone

- Subembryonic zone

To do that, you need the following points:

1- The general shape of the embryonic apparatus.

2- The overall dimensions of the embryonic apparatus

3- Dimensions of each part of the embryonic apparatus.

4- Position of the embryonic apparatus to the growth axis.

Barremian and Aptian limes contain abundant amounts of orbitolina and this is a good idea.But you have to make sure about the taphonomic effect of ostracoda on the chemical composition.
