As it is well defined that, today hpv vaccines on market are prophylactic vaccines. Besides it's debate on therapeutic value. What do you think on this point?
It's a good question. Therapeutic and prophylactic values of a vaccine may be considered as a two side of a coin. However, it cannot be a golden thumb rule. For therapeutic, it may be easier to evaluate single hpv genotype with limited or no quasispecies in a host. But, it is extremely difficult to interpret on condition with multiple genotypes with quasi species in a host. Much studies are required with base line data such as age, ethnicity and co/super infection
Thank you, as you well known that vaccines on market are target to humoral immun response. For therapeutic effect theorically we need cellular immun response for reducing viral load.
