Focus groups typically last 1 to 1.5 hours, though there can be a wide range depending on topic, number of participants, etc. 14 domains are a lot. Are you highly deductive? There's an easy rule: Less is more. 14 major questions in an hour probably gives 3 minutes per question, very difficult in a discussion. Try to stick to 6-8 questions (though easy opening/closing questions can be in addition) and think of the 1 major phenomenon to guide your inquiry. No upper limits for questions, it really depends what the research aim(s) are and how you intend to use the focus groups to answer that. You might want to consider things like saturation of data (i.e. you end up just chatting without finding out anything meaningful). Lots to unpack here....

There is an upper limit to questions for a manageable time frame unless:

1. One wants surface level, simple answers (e.g., 50 questions in 50 minutes is unworkable with a group of 8; there's a reason one must limit questions), or

2. Spend 8-12 hour with the same group (much longer if you had 100, 200, etc. questions. Good luck finding the time to conduct such a study and a group willing to sit. There a reason no one does this.

The general tradeoff is more questions is less depth. Might as well do a questionnaire if that's the point.
