The status of my manuscript with Maternal and Child Health Journal has been "editor assignment pending" since early March. The Editor has not responded to my e-mail. What should I do?

I recommend you contact the editor. Do not hesitate to send additional emails. I assume you already sent an email via the journal online submission platform. You can do that again. You can also use additional contact information obtained from the journal website or from any previous communication. Just remember to quote the manuscript identifier.

I agree with Nyawira Mwangi. You should contact the journal editor and check your manuscript progression in online submission website . Normally, manuscript would read and responded for revise within 2-6 weeks.
Dear write a reminder because sometimes an editor may forget his duties as a result of many engagements.
Yes, you have the right to remind them about your manuscripts. However, sometimes the delays is from reviewers not the editors.
