I am working in the area of 'adsorpion and diffusion' for qute some time. Interesting and very important area!
During some of the results I noted that the system gets equilibrium early: many times in 5 min, 10 min or like this only. Authors have also reported kinetics and other studies but what noted in most articles is that they do not probably bother about pH after the adsorption process is over.
Is it possible that the system acquires equilibrium in such a short time? Is it because of precipitation!

These are indeed quite short equilbrium times, and it normally takes much longer in most porous structures. So maybe the explanation is a surface microprecipitation, but in these conditions, it should not be called "adsorption". In fact, it really depends on which adsorbent and which adsorbate you deal with. Many different mechanisms can be involved in the very general term "biosorption", as shown in the attached file (in French, but easy to translate to English).

But do you mean every time the mechanism is 'precipitation' controlled? It would probably require a meticulous monitoring pf pH throughout the experiment.
I alsa agree with Alain. In my adsorption studies, process quickly equilibrated.

it would have been helpful right from the beginning if you would give an example of set of experiments where you find the phenomenon. Just in case you have a porous adsorbent and a complex composition in continuous phase it could be also fast blocking of pores. The less defined the question the more can be speculated out of the blue.
