Hi everyone,

My current research/article focuses on the relationship between public housing and the housing market. I would like to investigate how they affect each other in terms of design.

My argument is that, in the best possible scenario, most governments would like to deliver something which meets the minimum design requirements in the housing market. So, public housing is always subject to the housing market. And, if a housing market is experiencing a minimalisation in terms of design and standards, this will be also reflected in the following public housing projects as well.

I think public housing projects should deliver something above the expectations of the market and that could reverse the mentioned dark cycle. Something that somehow was experienced in Red Vienna.

I would like to know if you have seen a similar or relevant argument?
