I want to know that how the absorbance and luminescence of the materials depend upon the polarization of light? and how can we explain it by differentiating between scattered light and absorbed light?
Any suggestions or any reference of some articles would be highly appreciable.
The orientation of the electric (and magnetic) vectors of incident radiation determine whether or not the dipole moment of your sample will change and an electronic transition will occur. I suggest that you read a textbook on optical spectroscopy, such as by Garcia Sole -An introduction to the optical spectroscopy of inorganic solids - or Henderson and Imbusch - optical spectroscopy of inorganic solids.

absorbtion is an interaction of the electric field (vector) with electrons of the absorbing substance. If the electrons are sperically symmetric (s-like states) then I would not expect an influence of the polarization. In the case of lower symmetric states (p-like or d-like) the value of the probability function depends on crystal orientation. The absorbtion has a maximum for the orientation of the field vector in the swinging direction of the electrons. Therefore, in anisotropic materials the absorbtion depends on polarization.
For luminescence, this explanation is similarly. Luminescence presumes an excitation of electrons into free electron states. The interaction of the exciting wave with the electron depends on the crystal orientation. Furthermore, the luminescence of the inverse process (emitted radiation) is polarized.

To get useful answer, the question must be concrete, I think. In your question there are absorbance, luminescence, polarization, scattering of light. But you tell nothing about object with which you want to work (gas, liquid, solid; if liquid, then solvent, supramolecular system, colloid system, dispersion). Answers for general questions there are in textbooks. For example "Principle of Fluorescence Spectroscopy" writhed by J. R. Lacowicz (especially III edition), this is the best choice for readers on English.
One note and warning.
"Absorbance" is not, that spectrophotometer shows, also "luminescence" is not, that spectrofluoremeter shows. But by use spectrophotometer and spectrofluoremeter you can get information about absorption, luminescence and scattering of light. Not forget that spectrophotometer and spectrofluoremeter are only instruments, only additional storey under our sense bodies. And like sense bodies cheat us, these instruments may give false information or we may false interpret it.
