Dear Vincent Blok , despite not being a Heidegger scholar and not having followed too much of your work, I'd be thrilled to participate in this endeavor or even collaborate if you find my ideas interesting. I've got most of my (academic) work here on Researchgate (i've had more luck presenting than publishing), though I've thought many other things which didn't make it to conferences. Anyway.

To set us off, I'd like to provoke you a bit: if philosophy is about thought (and hence progress is not as obvious as in the natural sciences), then don't Paul Feyerabend's criticisms of a methodology in the natural sciences and the (misunderstood) 'anything goes' slogan obtain more bite? Maybe we should start from discussing the goals of philosophy, whether we're after truth (western academic tradition) or wisdom - sophia - as per the etymology. The latter is still not attracting that much attention in philosophy departments.

Of course (and that's why I like your work), if we define survival on the planet (the planet can do perfectly well without humanity, thank you :) ) as the goal of philosophy too (as well as other activities), then that's a game-changer, wouldn't you agree? :)

I really think that is an important subjet to themize in Heidegger´s work. Although I find impossible buying your book where i am now, I think it would be an interesting reading.

My personal investigation is oriented to find what kind of thought is that one that we have been relying. Philosophy now, more than ever, need an onthological turn torch sense. Heidegger´s view gives us a close up in the matter.

Hi all, as it turns out that there are more people interested then I expected in first instance, my proposal is that we organize an online teams/zoom meeting to get to know each other and make some plans, for instance for a workshop on the topic and maybe a SI/book on the topic. I can imagine that a publisher would be interested. If those who are interested can send their email address and time zone to me ([email protected]), I will make a mailgroup and propose a date that hopefully enables everybody to join. is that ok? How did the meeting go? I wonder about how much of this is human, cultural? It seems to me other periods would have other philosophical approaches. For example what happened to the Apologia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apologia which used to be so widespread in science? Has it disappeared along with the Agora? Surely these are part of an anything goes way of presenting. Something that is lost in the desire for a red thread through everything and IMRAD where there MUST be RQs aan a conclusion instead of just an exploration of an area of interest.
