Yes, in my opinion, the Learning Factories (LF) method, which can and is used in education, can be used to improve the qualifications and professional skills of employees in enterprises, e.g. in the field of Industry 4.0. The Learning Factories method can be used to train employees to increase employees' skills in the use of advanced data processing technologies included in Industry 4.0.
I can only confirm that Learning Factories are the right way to bring new technologies in the companies. In our SMART MINI FACTORY lab we are organizing seminars on Industry 4.0 topics for students as well as for industry people. This means that companies do not have to wait until universities "produce" highly qualified staff in new I4.0 technologies as they can send their existing workers to our Industry 4.0 seminars.
At present, in the age of the technological revolution known as the 4.0 industry, new teaching concepts are being defined as education 4.0.

I think again this is the industry responding and lacking proactiviness. As a finance professional i feel grassroots training is the best way to go.
