The problem I see, it is impossible to detect gravity waves from planetary motion.
So far it takes effects of binary massive objects like black holes to detect.
Thus such waves would be particularly weak. You say you could see differences in the orbit? The frictional energy emission would indeed cause very slight differences to a closed orbit.
In your work I see deviation of light as it goes past a planet. That is valid discussion, but unrelated to gravity waves. The lensing effect indeed permits us to see beyond planets.
