Are there any published articles of how a clinical setting can influence results of a study compared to the results when consumers purchase the 'therapeutic product' from a source without influence of a health professional or clinical setting?
I need to add what I am specifically looking for, is an article that will also address the difference between a weight-loss study done in a clinic/medical setting, versus a patient/consumer purchasing the same product via the internet or a retail store - i.e., the latter excludes the influences of the clinic setting, the perception of health professionals in attendance, etc.
