Intersection of Science and Engineering:The core of scientific research lies in exploring and discovering the nature of phenomena, while engineering focuses on applying these discoveries to solve practical problems. When scientific research results are applied in engineering practice, it is a natural progression of science, reflecting its practical value and impact. This intersection promotes technological advancement and innovation but also brings new demands on scientific research, such as emphasizing application value and practical impact.

Changing Requirements for Papers:Current scientific papers indeed increasingly emphasize the motivation, advantages, and applications of the research. This is to better showcase the practical significance and potential impact of the research. While this trend might make some fundamental research seem less prominent, it is also intended to facilitate the translation of scientific discoveries into practical applications.

Role of AI in Scientific Research:AI, like ChatGPT, can assist in literature reviews, data analysis, and other tasks, but the core of scientific research remains human creativity and critical thinking. AI's role is more of an assistant rather than a replacement. While engineering exploration can be better facilitated by AI, the core of scientific discovery relies on deep theoretical understanding and innovative thinking, which AI currently cannot fully replace.

Challenges in Scientific Paper Publishing:The publication of scientific papers has indeed become more verbose, partly because it requires detailed explanations of the background, methods, results, and applications of the research. This verbosity might seem tedious to experts but helps the broader scientific community and the public better understand and apply research findings. Simplifying the structure of scientific papers could improve reading efficiency but needs to balance the completeness and readability of the information.

In summary, the intersection of scientific research and engineering practice is an inevitable trend of technological progress. The challenges in the scientific paper publishing process need to be addressed by improving writing and publishing methods while maintaining the depth and innovation of scientific exploration.
