The COVID-19 IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is Sufficient for a diagnosis?
Diagnosis with rapid test only gives information about the presence of antibody generated against virus.it cannot predict presence of virus in body so that the patient tested COVID positive need to conform by PCR.
As PCR is time consuming and expensive, rapid test is better option to diagnose large population in lesser time.
The only valid method is PCR. Radiography also helps the diagnosis. Rapid test are only used for screening. They have no value to diagnose patients with COVID-19. You should also consider the fact that patients with some immunodeficiencies are unable to produce antibodies.
Plasma therapy is being used in some countries and people are healing well. But , at the same time some are dying as well. Hard to say it is good or bad.
