I completed my PhD in educational management in the summer of 2022 and I am currently starting my postdoctoral course. I think that the best time to start a postdoctoral program is immediately after completing the doctoral program. Of course, it should be noted that some universities consider a time requirement (for example, a maximum of 3 years after graduation) for postdoctoral admissions, so you should pay attention to it.

I go along with Saeed's suggestion (the best time to start a postdoctoral program is immediately after completing the doctoral program).

The time to start post doc is not liggaly fixed. But preferaly considered to be within 5 yrs after completion of Ph.D. I am claimimg 5 years because if you observe most of the schoarship and fellowship programs for Post Doc is valid till 5 years after Post Doc. My personal suggestion is to rush for Post Doc if possible.
