Chapter 1, book Varied Expressions.

Author Dr Fatema Miah

"1st month of Islamic Calendar Muharram is New Year in Islamic Calendar marked since the Hijrath (migration of Prophet PBUH), and the Arabic name of Months has been followed down from the ancient Arab tradition of following the moon circulation on its orbit (from the beginning of the first crescent sighting). Since Muharram has been marked as the beginning of the year, it makes Muharram the Islamic New Year. Islamic New Year isn’t celebrated like World’s other Cultural/ regional New Years are celebrated, because besides Islam forbids unnecessary expenses and wasting on extravagancy, moreover, the Arabic New Year recalls the inhumane massacre of Prophet (peace be upon him)’s beloved Grand children and their families (peace be upon them), within the 1st ten days of Muharram, in Karbala, (in todays date it is known as the Shiet practise, and this is performed as a ritual by Shiet followers all over the world specially in the Iraqi city of Karbala.). Further, Mohammed PBUH was forced to leave Makkah his birth land with his followers to scape with their dear lives in unhappy state and emigrated, (Hijrath) to Madina. "

"Karbala is one of the cities of today’s Iraq near to the Current Iraqi city Baghdad. In Iraq where the 4th Caliphate the representative of Islam and the Sahaba the Companion of Prophet (peace be upon him) Ali (peace be upon him) the pride of Islam, Son-in-law of Prophet (peace be upon him), the general, great warrior and the calligrapher of original revelation of the Quran was buried and his symbolic shrine is still remain there, visited to pay respect by number of people in Nazaf about seventy six kilometres to the south of Karbala in Iraq. The Battle of Karbala took place in 680 AD after 58 years of Al-Hijrath of 622 AD and fifty years after the death of Prophet Mohammed PBUH. Al-Hijrath when Islamic Calendar based on lunar calculation, began with the emigration of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) to the Arabian Peninsula Yathrib and its name became todays Madina. There are long historical and spiritual narrations behind the Al-Hijrath."

" In brief, Prophet with his family and companions (peace be upon them) took emigration (hijrath) to Yathrib or the current Madina to escape from the Makkah’s oppressive leaders’ abuses. The Tribal leaders of Makkah became enemy of Prophet and his followers (peace be upon them) and began to abuse them different ways.

Back to the Karbala incident; it was a dreadful inhumane matter because Prophet’s family (peace be upon them) were oppressed and killed very deceptively in a planned unethical war. This historical occurrence of Karbala isn’t mentioned by wider Muslim sects and it is addressed as a celebratory practice of Shiet sect, whereas, such atrocity is rather significantly important and sad for not only Muslims for the humanity. (By the way, I am not Shiet follower.) The battle of Karbala took place in the 7th century. It was an absolute dreadful sad episode of inhumane acts in the Battle of Karbala that shook the entire world. "

"The episode of Karbala was not only a spiritual tag of war between believers and unbelievers, in fact Battle of Karbala was a dictatorial ordered massacre. Yajid the dictator of Syria summoned warriors to the Battle of Karbala without accordance of the tradition of the war legislation. The Battle of Karbala began and fought in attempt to dominate over Islamic politics. This was initiated over the legitimacy of ruling-ship therefore the tale of Karbala is a political topic (as well as spirituality linking to house of prophet) line of dynasty and the suitability of leadership qualities. Karbala incident was a clear extraordinary genocide by assertive power abuse. Power crave and greed was the prime motive behind it. "

"Moreover, Yazid son of Mawiya (Mawiya was known as a companions of the Prophet PBUH) one took power of leadership in Syria. There Yajid began to asserting power and making plotting against Prophet’s grandchildren the real heir of the sovereignty and their families to banished them off PBUT to satisfy his greed, asserted his power and to been the successor of Entire region.

Unfortunately, it is a sad episode of closure of a chapter here for entire mankind and a great misfortune for the Muslim Umma that Yazid has been successful through his motive with power play and support of wealth. In the process of his desire to be successful he caused suffering to the Prophet’s beloved family members, including women and children suffered dreadful hardship from his heartless enmity. One by one Yazid’s men killed Prophet’s PBUH male great-grandchildren, the children of Hassan and Hussein, including new born baby was killed by shooting an arrow with bow aiming at the little angle like innocent baby’s neck while chanting with rejoice. (Peace be upon them). "

"Finally, on the tenth day of Muharram Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) was martyred. Every soul shall taste the death (Al-Quran 3:185) and to Him we belong, to Him we shall return. (Al-Quran 2:156).

A sorrowful heart-throbbing atrocity of Massacre of heir of Prophet Mohammed PBUT bore a distressing scene for the remaining female family members of the house of Prophet, they were treated very ill and were dragged from Kabala to Syria and imprisoned. The Tale of prophet PBUH family lineage paused there at the aftermath of Massacre of Karbala. Among the women there was a male heir name Jaynal-Abedin who was unwell and discreetly hidden among the women. Imam Mehdi from the lineage of house of Prophet via Jaynal-Abedin will appear before reappearance of Christ Prophet Isa (peace be upon them). A new chapter began from the aftermath of Karbala and it took many sub divisions of the central point. Islam been spread across the world. Also According to Quran, Bible and Torah, Prophet Moses (Musa PBUH) has been victorious of rescuing the Egyptians from enslavement by defeating the King Pharaoh, several Millenniums before Karbala incident, on the 10th day of Lunar month Muharram.
