I think @Moharana Choudhury is right to post this question. Junior researcher needs kind guidance to grow. Therefore, the senior researcher(s) should not pose as boss but as a facilitator and mentor to the junior fellows.
The long answer is that we sometimes have to be pragmatic on the situation under which we presently are. Society in general falls under the fallacy of authority that it is the senior and "influential" person that has the final say and does not hear coherent arguments from someone who is starting and may have a good idea. Take advantage of this situation since your boss is most likely paying you and this leaves you to cover your basic needs, so that you can have time to dedicate your spare time to refining your work and making it the best possible idea. Take this time to gather recognition(yeah, I know that it is "hi nice to meet you assistant of" instead of "nice to meet you Moharana") even if it is while riding under the wave of your superior's recognition. Do take advantage of riding this wave, eventually you will get your chance.
Also, contribute in RG and let people know who you are, answer questions in a thorough manner and people will start noticing you and then afterwards, you can engage them in your own ideas.
