Technical: Did anyone try to connect hivac pump to Schlenk line via vacuum port/valve in his fume hood?

Presumably this is only for low-vac? I cannot find appropriate information through the web. My hood has a valve for that. Problem is we got it as a gift while ago and none asked for any specs/manufacturer's name at that point...

I`m not a specialist in Schlenk lines, but according to this learner's guide (unfotrunately in russian) there is no need to use a high vacuum pump. Ordinary forvacuum pump with high pumping speed would be anough for correct working with inert gases.
