I want to know that SWAT model can be used permaforst hydrology (focusing on surface water flow and ground water recharge) under changing climate and vegetation cover.
If yes, then what are the controling factors / parameters which shows the permafrost conditions in SWAT Model?

In Second paper, no permaforst discussed.
in third paper, the authors neglected the permaforst and glaciers.

Sir, I woiuld like to ask following questions:
1. In your paper; SWAT model not gave reliable results for long term period. (in the abstract of your paper), what is the reason of this?
2. As ther is not heat and water exchange module in SWAT model (because SWAT is a temperature index snowmelt model rather thann energy balanced snow melt model), then how we can attain the permafrost conditions while using SWAT over a large area consisting of Contineous, dis-contineous, and sporadic permafrost conditions?
3. What are the parameters by which we can achieve near permafrost conditions to some extent?

To which paper are you refering? The paper in Environmental Earth Sciences has been authored by others, not by me. And in the study for a Mongolian catchment we have used the HBV model, not SWAT.
