I was asked to give suggestions for the equipment list for ICU up-gradation. The ICU shall be catering to predominantly medical and mostly respiratory cases. I could think up of NAVA ventilators, Esophageal pressure monitors, and stuff. Although I am not sure of the cost-benefit ratio of NAVA ventilators. Could I get some suggestions on cutting-edge tech for a majorly respiratory ICU?

ET intubation with spontaneous support by Bain circuit, bipap ,CPAP, LMA,CPR mask,vented and non- vented mask may be used by connected by Bain circuit instead of ventilator, NRBMask , all are cost effective and frequently used in icu to manage metabolic and respiratory acid base balanace by easy availability of instant ABG reporting in icu itself , currently bed side Ultrasound can be used for instant diagnosis bof various type of shock which will increase othe outcome of bundle therapy or treatment goal
Instead of ventilator availability we can save icu patient by using very low cost anesthesia and critical care equipment as stated in my above comment sir
