Well description

  • Single continuous perforation in a sandstone body wherein bottom part of perforation is producing water (PLT validated)

Initial behavior

  • WHFP =2700 Psi, Qg =10 MMscfd, Qw =30 BPD, Qc=10 BPD

After 1 year of gradual increase in water production

  • WHFP =2100 Psi, Qg =3 MMscfd, Qw =382 BPD, Qc=2 BPD
  • Within days WHFP dropped down to 700 Psi and well was unable to flow (constraint: customer line pressure is ~700 Psi)
  • Well remained shut-in for five months and WHSIP increased to 2800 Psi
  • I would like to know all possible reasons for this increase in WHP and possible strategy that can be adapted to bring the well back online in future
