I'm trying to make a high %TSS dispersion of OSA-starch (>40%) and cold water using a IKA overhead stirrer and I am in need of some strategies. I have managed to fully disperse it but it takes a long time.
I have to avoid the use of heating as it is not applicable in my up-scaled process.
Any tips?

Have you considered using a homogenizer instead of an overhead stirrer? The higher shear forces should disperse the starch solids much more rapidly. I'd recommend a rotor-stator homogenizer: https://homogenizers.net/collections/rotor-stator-homogenizers
I'm not sure how much you ultimately need to scale up, but there are industrial / process scale rotor-stator systems, both for batch and flow configurations, so you should be able to replicate the results in your eventual process.
