Being a sole author with no previous publications yet, I need to proactively consider which of 2 is best to publish first. Having not yet submitted my completed thesis research to a journal yet, 2 opposing suggestions have been given to me regarding publishing both articles and where to focus my energy first and last.
1) Focusing on the findings which has previously not been published by others with no emphasis on the method itself
2) A Methods paper to publish the novel method used and why it is better than the wide array of other methods used for this topic of research as well as how this method vastly improves both the validity and the reliability of research with a non-invasive straightforward method of quantifying the independent variable.
(A) Some say since I have no publications yet, I should publish Methods paper 1st and THEN cite myself in the use of said method when publishing the findings of my research questions 2nd. (2 then 1)
(B) Some say I should stick to publishing the findings to my research questions first minimally making note of the novelty of said method since the field uses such a wide variety of methods as it is. THEN use the published findings as a citation to demonstrate the example of the method by discussing the high validity and high reliability in the novel methods paper published 2nd. (1 then 2)

I understand your dilemma, having undertaken a methods based PhD myself. I think findings-based papers are generally published more easily, but if your findings depend upon a new method then your readers will want to know about that too.
Maybe there is a third way of looking at this problem: perhaps you can split your findings into different areas and consider a strategic approach to submitting them for publication along with their related methods.
In order to publish a methods paper I had planned to sprinkle in a few results for the results section of course. Though that wouldnt cover the bulk of the findings.

I think that the method and the finding are two sections of a scientific paper. So a good choice i to combine the two into one comprehensive and original paper. I do not recommend that you should consider future citations at this stage.
They arent 2 sections of a single paper.
I understand that these are in fact the names of 2 sections, but there are journals that specialize in newer methods that are published to share for others to use a better method, this would include a sprinkling of findings but would not be the main findings.
The paper focused on new findings would be the results focused paper.
I have received feedback on other platforms and in person at conferences and what most reccommend is to publish the new method first. This of course contains some findings in order to demonstrate the utility of said method. However it does not need to comprehensively include 100+pages of oy thesis findings all into one paper.
The more you can divide it into distinctly separate topic/papers the better.
