Hi, I suggest you do your own experiment, very simple: Expose plates at different distances from the Bunsen burner flame for at least 30 minutes (including different heights), incubate them for 72 hrs at 30 and 37 C. Control: Unopened plates. Medium: Nutrient agar.

Unfortunatelly, no scientific publications made improove the effect of Bunzens flame founf at ncbi. All links which were posted upper only dogmatic decision. More over, at Bykowski, T., & Stevenson, B. (2020). Aseptic technique. Current Protocols in Microbiology, 56, e98. doi: 10.1002/cpmc.98 directly writen "However, there is evidensthat air currents created by burner may draw air and suspend contaminants into the work area, but not impact viability of thus contaminants".
