It has been proposed that cleptoparasitic bees (CB) can be used as the indicator taxa to predict wild bee species diversity. I have some data that consists of wild bees and associated cleptoparasitic bees. I would like to test if, for instance, species richness of CB predicts overall wild bee diversity in multiple sites. I have done the Spearman's correlation but it is a very basic test. I would like an approach that would take into account species abundance too. Does anyone have some suggestions?

Thanks in advance!!
