Dear fellows, do you have an idea how to prepare soy bean cultivation media to determine growth of Lactobacillus species. I need to replicate soymilk content.Should I prepare it with raffinose/stachyosse and beta conglycinin? What commercial media do you use for the purpose?

you might go for autoclaved soy bean milk (you can prepare yourself easily from soybeans) and amended with glucose, sucrose or lactose. See e.g. Wang et al. (174) J. Milk Food Technol.

Past studies, Soy milk media is good media for Lactobacillus spp. compared with Bifidobacterium spp.
Thank you for your asnwers! However, I need a culture media so I can use a spectrophotometric analysis to assay the growth. Also, soymilk is great, but i need to achieve standartization over the soymilk samples so that i prefer a media. However, could find one..but i am considering soy protein isolate and maybe the sugars ( stachyosse or raffinose)+ the rest of mrs composition? Thanks!
When we do fermentation in such media, we go for determination of CFU instead of DO recording. Would this be feasible for you?
If you change to synthetic medium, you can measure growth by OD, but you have be sure about that the outcome really meaningful from a scientific point of view. In a previous project (Adler et al., AEM 2013, AEM 2014) we employed a synthetic replciate mixture to mimic cocoa pulp, which worked quite well, but this performance is surely not generally transferable.
