Sotware Problem with Perkin Elmer Spectrum 100 FTIR?

I keep getting an error message when I try to do a background scan with our P-E Spectrum 100 FTIR. I'm running P-E Spectrum Sotware V10.00 on Windows XP Pro. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
