What do you think about a project which identifies areas of a tertiary care hospital where standard protocols have been violated. Any ethical issues in it ??
I think most important ethical issue is to over the best of your knowledge and explaining the shortage of resources and in case if trauma I prefer to setup an ATLS program for such tertiary hospitals.
A project that identifies areas of care where protocols have been violated, would be beneficial for the patients being treated, and provide an incentive for those violating the protocol to improve. This would hopefully improve outcomes.
However, this project may negatively affect those responsible for the failure in implementing those protocols, unless it is used as an educational project and forum.
What are the main points to keep in mind so that we create such a project which on one hand helps patients and on the other hand does not offend care givers ??
