In my sequencing results using MATK gene the sample presents similarity of 100% with these species: Avena fatua, Avena murphy, Avena occidentalis, Avena sativa, Avena wiestii, Avena sterilis and Avena maroccana (Bold Systems).
Possibly A. fatua. Keep growing them so that you can identify from leaf and flower morphology :)
I have never worked with oats, but I believe that researchers working on oats at the Embrapa Wheat Center can help you.
Andrew is right you will have to observe morphological characteristics to be sure
Avena Fatua (wild oat)
Thank you guys! Your answers helped me a lot! Khudhair Abbas and Andrew Paul McKenzie Pegman . Thank you both!
Dear Maria da Glória Trindade
It is very difficult to ascertain a species from seeds/seedlings. I suspect that it is Avena fatua.
Thanks!
Thank you Arvind Singh We are doing other tests to confirm our suspicion.
