Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is an effective tool to investigate properties of the interface of any coat on a conducting substrate. A brief image of the variation in the charge transfer kinetics and capacitive components can be displayed by the aid of EIS. Usually, there is a variation in the recorded spectra with time that eventually goes to a constant value when a steady state conditions are established at both of the coating/GNP and the coating/PBS interfaces.

In order to follow up such a transition interlude in the (EIS span) spectra vs changeover ti (time), towards a steady state, then a sideways evolution in the OCV(ti) is a possible confusion[1] aspect. So, such an EIS follow up (set of EIS) must follow up, also, the evolution in OCV, e.g. set a (newer[2] factor in) VDC=OCV(ti), for decent EIS spectra.
