According to the BBA pdf please note the following hints:

- If you buy DCPIP , you obtain it as sodium salt or sodium salt with n. moles water.

Amstrong dried it over P2O5 to constant weight in order to obtain the anhydrous salt.

For the concentration you need it for a correct molecular weight.

- Stability (see Amstrong) in  a certain pH range.
