I have a screen recording of participants' behaviour in a computorised task, performed while I was measuring their EEG activity. I am looking to find a way to synchronise the video recording with the continuous EEG, in order to manually add relevant triggers to the EEG signal based on the participants' behaviour. Does anyone know of a software that would allow me to do this? The EEG signal was collected using netstation, in case it is helpful to know. Thank you so much!
I suppose one way would be to flash a brief signal on the screen, accompanied by a trigger. E.g. every 30 seconds you could display a square on the screen. You could then align the appearance of the square in the screen recording to the triggers. In between these, you can safely assume that the frame times are fairly stable.
I don't know what software you are running that the participant is interacting with?
I am not sure if he can do it, but the EDFbrowser by Teunis van Beelen can synchronize video with Polysomnography data, when the video was recorded during the PSG and the PSG was exported in EDF form. Not sure if he can synchronize with an external video file.
