I'm looking for a small (less than 0.5m of max length) underwater sound source to do some experimental measurements, any recommendations?
I'm looking for something robust and reliable but with prices ranging from lowcost to lab equipment.

I guess you will need to build something for yourself, taking your specific requirements into account (e.g. frequency range, target sound pressure level, ...).
Basically, any vibrating mechanical system with sufficient source impedance should do the job - could be sheet metal connected to a shaker as well as a piezo disk (depending on frequency range for your application). Getting a sufficiently roubust design including getting it water tight as required for your application might be an issue as well - details depending on your application / use case.
I would definitely need more details on the intended application to give more detailed feedback.

My idea is to make stress experiments with mussels, clams and similar species using the loudspeaker to expose these specimens to recorded vessels noise while their behaviour is monitored. Reproducibility in the loudspeaker levels is needed, and a plain frequency response between 60-500 Hz is welcome.

then I guess you will need some equipment for a sea water environment, probably for use in the sea and not just a bassin?

Anyway, going with a speed of sound of approx. 1500 m/s, 60 Hz corresponds to 25 m wavelength... - if you want to get clean, reproducible results, working in a bassin that acoustically works as a pressure chamber at those wavelength would probably the easiest way to go... (but yes, my background is in physics, not in marine biology, so I probably miss a couple of important aspects that are relevant to your research).
I have real vessels recordings are those are the ones that I'm using trying to expose the specimens with range variety of levels to find at which one the stress became noticeable.
what do you mean by a bassin?

do you want to use the speaker in the open sea or in a kind of aquarium / lab environment only? I guess the former, even though that would be more difficult environmental conditions...
With respect to durability: How long will you run the experiments? How long will the speaker / source need to withstand the environment? Hours, days, weeks, months, years?
Sorry for asking all these questions. According to my experiecence, these requirements are necessary / helpful to find the right equipment though.

I plan to use it on an aquarium / lab during days, a couple of weeks maximum.
We were using this (https://dnhloudspeakers.com/loudspeakers/underwater/aqua-30-2/) during a time but didn't work very good and easily get broken when we use more than 100 dB. I'm looking for something similar but more durable.
