I am reading so many explanation from RG regarding the same matter, but still I am feeling uneasy to make a reply to one reviewer. My sample is SnO2 and SAED pattern showed periodic pattern of bright spots without any ring so I made the statement that my material may have single crystalline nature. But the reviewer asked me that SAED pattern alone can not confirm the single crystalline structure of any material and I agree with that. So, I am trying to calculate the crystallite size from XRD and grain size from HRTEM. Now if, crystallite size and grain size will be equal then can I say that my material is single crystalline? Please share your opinion. One more important thing is that, how to get grain size from TEM image? I am confused between particle and grains. Where I am doing the mistake? Is grain and particle is same? I think NO. Please give your opinion and suggestions.
