A BRIEF REFLECTION ON THE FAMILY INSTITUTION AS AN EPISTEMOLOGICAL BACKGROUND OF FAMILIES ORGANIZATIONS RESEARCHES
This paper has as his objective an epistemological reflection on the family institution and its representation. It is a study about the representations one has of family and, there fore, about the values and concepts that form a family identity between the generations.
As this research was developed with a de scriptive aproach, a previous bibliography was used that denoted the terms that were intended and that allowed a support to the arguments and the objective of the study. It
has been shown that there are some forms of how are constituted an image or an identity of the family institution. It was also seen that the family institution has changed many times in history, and has been afected by several factors influenced by the growth and development of nations.
In my opinion:
there are two basic forms of organizing a society's marital structure.
The two are gender-egalitarianism and gender-complementarity.
Gender-egalitarianism is just that: Gender is irrelevant in assigning duties and responsibilities.
Gender-complementarity is the traditional form: Women tend to children and the hearth. Men tend to power and economics.
It is probably very true that everyone born today is guaranteed ancestors and mortality and that no one born today is guaranteed descendants in the year 2227.
It is also probably very true that in the year 2227, everyone on the planet
had ancestors in 2017.
Under the rubric of demography is destiny, current cultures illustrating
gender-complementary have a striking advantage over current cultures illustrating gender-egalitarianism.
Aside from the immigrant surge, all of Europe is below replacement value.
As is Japan and South Korea. Hutterites out-reproduce Episcopalians.
Hasidic Jews out-reproduce secular Jews.
The Muslim swath – from Mauritania to Pakistan – is well over replacement value and represents classic gender-complementarity.
Gender-complementarity is clearly poised to replace gender-egalitarianism.

From an epistemological point of view, the common core basis of what a family unit is must remain consistent. while society and families have changed the biblical standard remains true.
I am grateful for both opinions, although I believe more in Wade C. Mackey's view than in Gary Voegtle.
In most societies I have observed that gender issues have influenced the entire contemporary family system. New family forms are arising because of divorce, same-sex marriage, out-of-wedlock children ...
The "family" institution has to learn to deal with all new forms and representations in the social system.
Although religious issues play an important role in certain cultures, as far as the family system is concerned, it seems to me that different cultures will have to adapt to changes in the family system.
